We are looking for a highly motivated Apprentice join our team. After full training your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing stock in and out (to external clients)
  • Picking and Packing
  • Store transfers & inventory control/stock control to meet customer demands and keeping track of costs 
  • Goods in / Goods out
  • Maintaining a tidy and organised warehouse
  • Completing the paperwork associated within the warehouse
  • Face to face customer interaction will also be required by working on the sales counter on occasion. 
  • There may also be a necessity to handle calls to and from other branches.  

This is an exciting progression role where you will start in the Warehouse and then move into other areas of the business. As an Apprentice EDA Apprenticeships Plus will employ the successful candidate on behalf of the Branch. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.05 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £7.50 for those over 25.   • Functional Skills

The vocational and academic training aspects are separated and delivered by separate teams. The vocational training and assessment is conducted, more often than not, on site according to the employers wishes. Notice of dates is agreed well in advance of a site visit. Training and assessment is conducted both on and off the job, according to the needs of the course and the learner. Every effort is made to ensure the best result is achieved by the learner.
