As a Level 2 Apprentice, you will be expected to support and assist other members of the team in the completion of their duties. Your day to day duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with preparation of play time (arts and crafts, reading, etc.)
  • Assisting with teaching of basic numeracy and literacy
  • Assisting with preparation of meal time (cooking, preparation and feeding of food)
  • Dealing with parent enquiries, over the phone and face to face
  • Tidying up and clearing away the nursery at the start and end of each day

The nursery is a 10 minute walk from Bournemouth Rail Station and has a bus stop right outside.

Your working week will run from Monday to Friday. This role is subject to a clear DBS check.

Bournemouth Day Nursery started in 2006 when Peter & Natalie Ward saved the local Nuffield Hospital Nursery from the clutches of developers. Completely refurbished, the nursery school setting offers parents an additional resource to help manage the balance between work and raising children.?

In 2007, the nursery helped secure places for parents of Mother';s Care Day Nursery which was sold for development. By 2010, the nursery';s reputation had grown strongly and they were approached by Little Gems Nursery to acquire the Wimborne Road setting in Talbot Woods. They now look after up to 135 children every day as part of a thriving Bournemouth Community. Bournemouth Day Nursery aim to work with parents, local employers & teaching staff to give the best to their children.
