This role is office based and the main duties will include:

  • Using customer drawings to create CAD drawings. This will be nested witih other parts to create a machine programme for one of the lasers or turrets punches.
  • Using both 2D and 3D programming software
  • Ensuring maximum utilisation of material without compromising on quality.

Qualifications required

The company have requested a minimum grade C at GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English and Grade B in ICT.

Future prospects

Fab Link prefers to promote from within the company and, although no direct route of progression is laid out, it is likely the successful apprentice will be employed, upon completion.

Things to consider

The candidate will be expected to attend In-Comm's Engineering Training Academy three days per week during the initial two years of their apprenticeship. The remaining two days the candidate will be at the company.
