About the employer

Hi! I'm an OFSTED registered childminder & Pre-school Practioner, operating from a home based setting located in Bromley, close to Bromley shopping centre with easy access to Bromley North; South, Sundridge Park, Bickley, Elmstead Lane and Chislehurst Stations. An Ideal location for parents living or working in Bromley or travelling up to London. I am also an active Primary School Teacher with over 12 years Teaching experience. During my teaching experience I have found that children are entering Reception and Year 1 without being school ready. I have also looked at different settings in the community and have found that children are not given adequate support to get them school ready. This has prompt me to open a holistic setting that will also support your child in allowing them not only to acquire those basic skills but to help them progress academically in a relaxed environment that will lay the foundation and equip them with the skills they need to reach their true potential. I can also support you with your child’s transition to primary school and I’m available to support you with your child’s progress at school (with consent) keeping you updated with their progress and attending consultation evening if you were unable to attend as of an emergency or work committed situation. I can provide you with excellent references, current teaching and child-minding DBS which can be found on the online update service or alternatively paper copy is available on request. I can pick up and support with homework after school from: Bickley, St Georges, Scotts Park, Breaside and St Joseph Primary Schools. The hours we work are 7:00am to 6pm, however we can be more flexible if required. We encourage healthy eating and offer healthy home cooked meals and snacks according to family and cultural requirements bearing in mind allergens. I have an array of resources and a large garden, however the children are taken out to other settings where they are engaged in lots of other activities for eg. Rhyme and Stay and Play at the library, mums and toddlers and various local parks and dance & exercise classes. At the setting we engage the children in an array of stories, arts & crafts, numbers, French and how to develop reasoning, just to name a few. We aim to give your child an all rounded learning experience that will lay the foundation for formal education.
