    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

1st/2nd Line support of the schools Network infrastructure.  3rd Line support as directed by the Network Manager.

In this role you will provide a wide range of support in the following:

  • 1st and 2nd line support for a variety of end users with different IT knowledge and experience.
  • Software installation and upgrade.
  • Setting up a wide range of ICT equipment from laptops to projectors.
  • Hardware installation and upgrades.
  • Trouble shooting software and hardware faults.
  • User profile administration.
  • Network maintenance.
  • Printer setup and maintenance.
  • Maintain and clean all ICT Equipment.
  • Carry out necessary Health and Safety checks where appropriate.
  • Monitor and manage stocks of materials/keep in order and register/update stock control.
  • General administrative duties will be required as well.
