To support the Data Entry Clerk with the correct transference of information from proposal sheets to lease soft to ensure the smooth paying of own book Agreements.

Duties include:

  • To support the data entry clerk in going through each “invoice pay out” ensuring that all information is present.
  • To be an administrator for the underwriting department by taking phone calls, messages as required and when appropriate for team.
  • Using a variety of software packages (Excel, Word, the Kennet CRM system)
  • Dealing with a large volume of information about businesses, to be able to assist in forming the assessment of risk to arrive at underwriting decisions.
  •  Processing and input of Financial Paperwork for own book deals
  • Liaising with sales teams to ensure timely pay outs on invoices
  • Work with other team members to ensure efficient work flow
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the head of underwriting.
  •  Support the Underwriting team wherever possible by ensuring that they are delivering an accurate system to sales & support teams

Qualifications required

No specific qualifications required but English, Maths, and ICT GCSE (or equivalent) would be preferred (all C or above).

Future prospects

Opportunity for progression at month 6 and 12. Progression to a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship would be made available for the right candidate on completion of Level 2. Main aim for the Employer and Candidate is to secure full time employment at the end of the apprenticeship and start progressing within the company. 85% of our candidates secure full time employment with the same employer at the end of the Apprenticeship Programme.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.05 for anyone aged 21-24, and £7.50 for anyone 25 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
