Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a technical / engineering aptitude, be keen to learn new skills and eager to undertake further studies. You will be able to show initiative and problem-solving skills in any of your previous experience (if applicable) within a manufacturing or similar environment. You'll also have a minimum of 5 A – C qualifications (including Mathematics and Science), or equivalent alternative qualifications.   

The main objective of this post is to ensure all manufacturing machinery is kept to a high maintenance and production standard, focusing on maintaining high production demands. Responsible for all shop floor ancillary equipment to maintain production.

  •  Carry out planned maintenance activities
  • Tool room operations
  • Problem solving tasks
  • Follow the engineering apprenticeship programme, developing into an electrical or mechanical engineer
  • Work alongside Engineers to maintain internal facilities e.g. heating, air conditioning and other utilities
  • Ensure all machines/equipment resources are available to meet business demands
  • Support in maintaining adequate spares to support the plant
  • Take part in performance improvement programmes
  • To comply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines
  • Maintain high level of general housekeeping

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.

Qualifications required
