    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

A career in the Motor Trade waits for you if you are keen and enthusiastic and willing to learn about mechanical, diagnostic and technical issues on a diverse range of vehicles.

Daily duties would include:

  • Assisting an experienced technician in all aspects of servicing
  • MOTs
  • Tyres
  • Exhausts
  • Diagnosing faults
  • Learning to use the latest EOBD equipment as well as general repairs

You will be instructed in all H&S matters and be able to communicate with staff and customers.

The working week is Monday to Friday.

Others simply don';t have the time to bring their car to the garage and this is one of the reasons why we decided to collect the vehicles for their annual MOT test free of charge, within a fifteen-mile radius of our workshop. This convenient service has proven very popular with customers from all walks of life.We can collect from your home or workplace and the service usually takes about three hours from collection to return of a completed job (providing the car doesn';t need much work.)
