    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

This is an exciting and varied role for a candidate to join a friendly and fast paced team based in the Lenton area of Nottingham.
You will be a pivotal member of the administration team, working face to face with patients on reception and on the telephone. You will gain transferable skills and qualifications to develop key administration duties within a medical environment.

The day to day duties involved in the administration role will include:

  • Working on reception, dealing with patients face to face
  • Booking appointments on reception and over the phone
  • Answering the phone and directing calls as appropriate
  • Taking notes accurately and efficiently
  • Photocopying, filing, scanning
  • Preparing documents
  • Dealing with admin queries
  • Any other general administration duties as required

The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 18 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
