Key duties will include:

  • Liaising with Account Managers to understand what their customer is trying to achieve and conveying that to our origination providers
  • Produce and distribute proofs, colour samples and ink swatches
  • Following company procedures and standards, especially in making sure register marks are correctly added to tools and plates
  • Gain feedback from press operators on job performance and learn how this can be improved. Take action to manage improvements for future repeat orders
  • Undertake housekeeping and up keep on origination related systems, cutter lists, print cylinder lists and anilox rollers
  • To create programs for digital printing systems and maintain/control the databased for all existing programs
  • Being part of a one team mind set
  • Follow all Health and Safety and hygiene procedures
  • Understand and learn all aspects of print that rely on the technical team for their success. Spending time carrying out pre-press tasks, printing, finishing (if appropriate), sales enquiry, estimating
  • Sales team support on estimating by helping to identify numbers of colours, changes and tool availability to ensure estimating can reply promptly and accurately

  • The ideal candidate will have grade A* - C in GCSE (or equivalent) including Maths, English and Design Technology
  • The ideal candidate will have completed a design course at College
