Reporting to the Office Manager The main purpose of the job is: To support the Office Manager and the Finance Manager by undertaking administrative, financial and front of house tasks allocated in the general office. To learn how to use the IT systems operated within the office and all associated office equipment. To learn and provide good customer service skills. To undertake all training & development opportunities required in order to fulfil the role and meet the apprenticeship scheme requirements. The post holder will be trained to provide clerical and administrative support in the following areas: The Centre's membership schemes. Cash handling & Banking preparation. Customer Sales accounts. Supplier Purchase orders and invoices. Payroll. General office tasks using all office equipment. Front of House Reception duties where required.

Personal qualities

Working with systems and processes to support all office functions. Ability to use computer based systems including MS packages. Ability to deal with customers both face to face and on the telephone (including complaints/grievances). Numeracy skills and cash handling. PC literate - good working knowledge of MS packages. High standard of communication, both verbally and in writing, together with good telephone skills. Ability to work under pressure in a busy customer facing environment and balance work tasks, supporting other staff and reactive operational issues. Willingness to work shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications required

4 x GCSE Grade A*-C or numerical equivalents in English & Maths
