The two year Business Apprenticeship scheme provides a variety of experiences through placement within our diverse finance team.

The finance function sits at the heart of the business and is involved in every stage of the product life cycle; from an 'Invitation to tender', through contract delivery, to invoicing of milestones and collection of cash.

You will be interacting with a multitude of business related disciplines such as:

  • Commercial
  • Planning
  • Procurement

This will not only develop your finance skills, but also your broader business awareness.

Personal qualities

Qualifications required

2 x A Levels (Grade A* - C) one of which must be English, Maths or a Business subject

Or

An alternative Level 3 qualification, which must be in a business related subject

AND

GCSE (Grade 4 - 9 / Grade A* - C) in Maths and English or equivalents

This is an office-based role using display screen equipment, working full time hours which can occasionally be in a demanding environment. Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.05 an hour for anyone aged 21-24, and £7.50 an hour for anyone aged 25 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
