    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage rates are £4.05 an hour for 16 - 17 year olds, £5.60 an hour for 18 - 20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship(usually one day per week).

We work hard and tirelessly to give our clients exactly what they want and advise them what's best for their hair in the salon and at home. You will be working side by side our creative experts and will gain hands on experience from day one.

Key responsibilities:

Provide support in day to day running of the salon, including:

  • Greeting customers and providing refreshments
  • Booking appointments via phone and email
  • Shampooing clients
  • Assisting Stylists
  • General salon duties

Abilities/Experience:

  • Looking for someone who is passionate about a career in hairdressing
  • Good communication and social skills
  • Must be willing to work hard and have a keen interest in learning current hair cutting and colouring techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions and use your own initiative
  • Interested in keeping up with the latest trends and techniques and follow your favourite hairdressers on Instagram

All staff are required to be flexible in their approach and have a willingness to get involved and help where necessary. In return you will receive training from the salon’s expert hairstylists and technicians and work with our partner educators (Allilon Training Academy) as well as a place at college.

This hairdressing apprenticeship will allow you to gain relevant practical experience in one of the best working environments.

No previous experience is necessary, we are looking for a commitmnent to a career in hairdressing, creativity, enthusiasm and a great work ethic.

Qualifications required:

GCSE grades A*- C (grade 5 – 9) in English and Mathematics or equivalent

Things to consider

This is a high end salon that will get very busy. You will be spending a lot of time standing and excellent customer service is a must.
