The roles and responsibilities of the Sales advisor will include:

  • Work alongside a compact sales team, adhering to set pricing structures operating in an existing customer base.
  • Achieve a set number of calls daily, consisting of initial and follow up based calls to customer base and prospects alike
  • Record call details through CRM and update line manager accordingly.
  • Work closely to attain daily, weekly and month budgets across all channels.
  • Liaise with the external sales support team to identify call targets on specified products and follow up on success.
  • Process orders, check stocks and product details through Sage500.
  • Attain a high level of technical product knowledge to support sales technique and build credibility with the customer base.
  • Service enquiries, raise quotations with a view to converting and attain monthly conversion targets.
  • Actively work on promotional offers to further increase sales.
  • Liaise with the Marketing department in relation to promotional literature and samples.
  • Maintain and observe a high degree of professionalism, ensuring confidentiality at all times. 
  • Display prompt and effective organisation, planning and decision making.

  • Sound knowledge of Sage500 preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Full understanding of Microsoft office software, with a particular focus on Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • To act as a role model in demonstrating the Company values.

Personal qualities

The following experience and qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience in using SAGE applications
  • Experience in a sales environment, where communication via telephone and face to face is necessary
  • Competent computer skills, with a particular focus in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • A will to learn and continue to learn within the role
  • Maintain and observe a high degree of professionalism, ensuring confidentiality at all times. 
  • Display prompt and effective organisation, planning and decision making
  • To act as a role model in demonstrating the Company values.

Qualifications required

GCSE Grades A-C in Maths, English & ICT or equivalent preferred but not essential

Future prospects

Once the successful applicant has finished their apprenticeship they will have to opportunity to secure a full time position with the company.

The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
