You will become competent in the complete manufacture of the full range of equipment produced in the workshop and capable of safely and effectively operating all machinery on site.

A normal day would include:

  • The successful candidate will learn all aspects of the operation of all site equipment. The continual aim will be to become a skilled engineer, with the ability to completely manufacture the full range of products produced in the workshop. The apprentice will follow a Fabrication/Welding apprenticeship route and become skilled in sheet metal work and welding processes. The individual will develop a high level of knowledge and understanding of Engineering Technical Drawings and Specifications with the eventual goal of working independently as a skilled engineer within the team.
  • Working correctly at all times to the company Environmental, ISO quality and H&S procedures.
  • Producing and maintaining accurate records in accordance with role requirements.
  • Demonstrating continual commitment to develop your skills and knowledge throughout your apprenticeship.

Qualifications required

  • The successful candidate will have achieved GCSE minimum grade C in Maths, English and Science. Good I.T. skills with GCSE grade C or equivalent level of achievement is also required.
