You will receive first class training in all aspects of identifying damaged mechanical and electrical components on vehicles from Swindon Accident Repair Centre’s fully qualified Senior Technicians.

Training will include:

  • Assess faults
  • Job cards and assessment reports
  • Accessing and removing mechanical and electrical components
  • Removing and fitting non-structural body panels
  • Removing and re-installing mechanical and electrical systems
  • Vehicle valeting

No skills required as full training will be given, just bring your enthusiasm.

Personal qualities

You will need to have a high level of attention to detail and working to a high standard to ensure the customer’s car is in safe care and has been restored to its previous pristine condition.

Qualifications required

Good levels of English, Maths and ICT.

Future prospects

To be a fully qualified Mechanical, Electrical and Trim Technician.

Training provider

An Apprenticeship is a work-based training programme, so as well as working and being trained in Swindon Accident Repair Centre’s bodyshop, you will also attend Remit’s Academy based near Pride Park in Derby, on a 5-day block release 4 times over the 18-month apprenticeship. You will also be assigned an Apprentice Development Coach who will visit you in the workplace, every 4-6 weeks, as part of our commitment to your development and to ensure you succeed.

• VRQ & VCQ level 2 certificates in Vehicle Paint
• Functional Skills in English, Maths & ICT (if required)

N.B All accommodation, food and travel costs are met by the Employer.
