    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

  • Working week

    Monday to Friday 0900 to 1700 however, this could be flexible depending on lifts etc. We are willing to be accommodating for the right person.

    Total hours per week: 40.00

We are looking for an individual who is flexible to fit in with our small yet busy office. The role is varied with a sample of duties being:

  • Answering  the telephone and dealing with customer queries
  • Sorting the post
  • Invoicing
  • Liaising with staff and customers to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time.
  • General office duties such as filing

The job will then progress to include:

  • Managing payroll
  • Accounting tasks

The right person will need to have initiative and be able to work well on their own as well as in a team. The candidate must be able to travel to work on time due to the workplace being based in a rural location with limited public transport.
