    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage rates are £4.05 an hour for 16 - 17 year olds, £5.60 an hour for 18 - 20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship(usually one day per week).

  • We are looking for a commis chef apprentice to help with the day to day running of the kitchen.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, preparing ingredients for more senior chefs, dealing with deliveries and stock rotation.
  • You will learn from all current chefs in the kitchen along with exceptional patisserie and authentic on site pizza kitchen.
  • We have our own garden pizza kitchen and on site French style patisserie when different knowledge and skill set will be learned.

Your daily duties will include:

  • Food preparation
  • Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
  • Bringing new idea's to the menu
  • Assisting the Chefs in post
  • Attending college to learn new culinary skills

We have a sister tapas restaurant in Portishead where staff have the opportunity to gain knowledge and work experience in a different environment.
