    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

    Our shifts run from 8.30am to 11.30pm and are approx. 7 hours. We are open 7 days a week. You will have 1 day release to college

As the face of our brand you will be responsible for:

  • Providing a high level of customer services
  • Barista duties
  • Food preparation
  • Taking orders
  • Cash handling
  • Coaching and training new members of the team
  • Stock management
  • Ensuring the shop floor is clean and tidy always
  • You must take on reasonable additional or different duties when we ask you, to meet our reasonable business needs

Things to consider

The workload fluctuates drastically during peak and off peak times. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
