    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage rates are £4.05 an hour for 16 - 17 year olds, £5.60 an hour for 18 - 20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship(usually one day per week).

Within this varied role you will be pivotal member of the team, gaining skills and qualifications to develop key administration duties.

Working in a small, professional team you will gain varied and valuable experience in all aspects of the day to day duties involved in an administration role.

Duties involved in the role will include:

  • Providing support and administration to the team
  • Research competitors and market trends
  • Filing using the electronic filing system
  • Database entry and management 
  • Editing and basic formatting of documents and presentations
  • Exploring the use of company's social media platforms – monitoring and following competitors 
  • Low level excel data analysis
  • Inputting information into survey software

  • They will have a good general knowledge of ICT packages and demonstrate a good level of spoken and written literacy.

  • Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration.
  • Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT Level 1 if required.

This apprenticeship is 1 day per week at the college term time only 9am – 5pm with the other days based at the work place.
