We are looking for someone to complete general office duties and to offer support to our team. Some of the duties included will be:-

  • General reception duties
  • Meet and greet visitors in a professional manner
  • Manage registration of visitors and carry out checks
  • Answer phones in a polite and courteous manner and pass messages in a timely manner
  • Manage stationary and storage cupboards.
  • Support colleagues, and the management team
  • Keep electronic filing up to date
  • Keep office environment and desk in a tidy state
  • Assist and maintain health & safety records and procedures for the company.
  • Assist other members of the team when required.
  • Complete RA-MS ( risk assessments & Method statements ) when required.
  • Typing of routine correspondence and reports.

National Minimum Wage From 1st April 2017, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training. INTERVIEW We will be interviewing candidates who meet the criteria as they apply and will recruit after a successful interview which may be before the closing date. Reality Check You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst awaiting for your first wages to be paid. Travel Information Closest station is Swanscombe. This is at the Swanscombe office, the main admin office is based in Gravesend.

Training provider

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework - consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) and the Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Workbook. It may be necessary for you to complete Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT – subject to previous achieved grades.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
