 The role will be to act as support to a Senior IT Engineer.

This engineer will be your immediate line manager and mentor.

The work will cover support and installation for the following technologies:

  • Server and client systems (Microsoft, Linux and Apple)
  • IP and Mobile Telephony,
  • Network Infrastructure
  • Internet and Security Systems
  • Some liaison will be required with 3rd Party suppliers and clients, both remotely and face to face. Onsite and remote support tasks will be required, on a daily basis.
  • There may be the opportunity to work overtime and some weekend work to cover office relocations and critical maintenance and upgrades.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Experience in Microsoft Client Operating systems.
  • Some travel between client locations will be required both within the Greater London area and to parts of the UK.
  • Attention to details is most important.

Qualifications required

Ideally a minimum 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. Training provider

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Kings Cross Academy for up to 8 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Infrastructure Technician. The qualifications consist of:

  • Level 3 diploma in Infrastructure technician
  • Level 2 Functional skills in English, Math and IT (Where applicable)
