Key responsibilities and requirements include:

  •  Set up new customers and suppliers including credit checks
  •  Raising sales invoices
  •  Inputting purchase invoices
  •  Posting and allocating bank receipts and bank payments for overseas territories
  •  Assist with input of UK sales orders
  •  Bank reconciliations
  •  Assist with controlling the fixed asset register and posting depreciation
  •  Post accounting journals
  •  Assist with queries from overseas entities on how to perform tasks within Microsoft NAV
  •  Assist with additional system project implementations as required
  •  Cover tasks for other team members
  •  Any other ad hoc tasks, as required

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

You will demonstrate strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and enjoy working with numbers.

Personal qualities

Qualifications required

A grade of A-C in English and Mathematics or equivalent is essential.

Training provider

As an Accountancy Apprentice with Kaplan, you will complete the AAT qualification, of which we deliver Level 2 (Certificate) Level 3 (Diploma) & Level 4 (Diploma). The AAT qualification will be completed at a Kaplan training centre or via the Live Online Learning platform. Apprenticeships will include the NVQ, Technical Certificate, Functional Skills (if required) and ERR.
