Purpose of the role

  • To provide an unrivalled service to our customers and suppliers
  • To support the Purchase Ledger Clerk for Stockport, Bradford and Isle of Man

Role Objectives

  • Reconcile delivery notes with invoices
  • Processing invoices onto the Horizon system
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Preparation of supplier payments
  • Reporting supplier discrepancies including shortages and picking errors
  • Ensuring delivery notes at the end of each month are marked correctly to support cut off
  • Purchase returns to supplier arising from customer returns
  • Reporting shortages/faulty items to suppliers
  • Passing returns information to warehouse for collections
  • Emailing returns to suppliers
  • Chasing suppliers for credit notes
  • Opening new accounts on Horizon
  • Catalogue contribution invoices sent to suppliers when required
  • Water cooler and shredding, sales and purchase orders monthly
  • Recycling invoiced to recycling partners
  • Post duties where necessary
  • Running list of outstanding deliveries and returns not invoiced after month end close
  • Preparing list of deliveries received on last day of month for cut off purposes
  • Support other members of the team when necessary
