Are you looking for a fantastic opportunity to start a career in Childcare?

 

You will need a warm and positive approach, lots of creative ideas and a willingness to work as part of a team. Full training will be given to carry out the following duties:

  • Engagement with and supervision of children (2-5 years old) helping them to learn through high quality play
  • Modelling and promoting high quality relationships with staff
  • Modelling and promoting and encouraging good behaviour appropriate to the age of the child
  • Communication with parents/carers as appropriate
  • Implementing and following plans and daily routines and activities giving an input into future planning
  • Observing and monitoring the children’s wellbeing and development
  • Keeping records up to date
  • Maintaining health and safety and child welfare standards and requirements
  • Promoting good health and hygiene
  • Checking all equipment is clean and safe for children’s use
  • Carrying out daily cleaning routine as appropriate, including changing soiled children
  • Communicating issues and concerns with staff and managers
  • Attending regular staff meetings as appropriate
  • You will be required to follow all policies and procedures including health and safety, equality diversity and inclusion and safeguarding.

Qualifications required

  • Ideally you will have your level 2 in Children and Young Persons Workforce or some experience working in a nursery setting – However if you don’t have an of these you can do your level 2

Future prospects

Permanent position within the company.

Things to consider

£4.50 for probation period then £5.00 per hour. This is a term time and out of term time position – In out of term periods you will be working and assisting with play schemes children aged 2 to 10 years old and you will be paid a higher hourly wage during this time.
