    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

A busy, varied and multi-tasking role where attention to detail, a passion for providing inspiring customer service and the ability to prioritise is key along with a positive minded can do approach.

Key duties would include:

  • Sales order processing
  • Line/broadband ordering
  • Fault handling

You will be working closely with our Customer Service Manager and Customer Service Supervisor and an experienced team so there will be plenty of on-the-job training and support provided on a daily basis, the role will be both challenging and rewarding with a varied workload.


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to adapt to each situation are a must as there will be plenty of telephone work, emails and liaising with colleagues.
  • Good Experience of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel

Personal qualities

  • We are looking for someone who is dedicated and loyal.
  • Someone who is tenacious with an ability to think on their feet whilst under pressure and can work on their own initiative are all necessary in this customer focussed environment.

Qualifications required

4/5 GCSE's (or equivalent) at a grade C or above.
