The key focus will be training to assist in the servicing, maintenance, repair and cleaning of all high value diecasting tools used in our state of the art diecasting operations, which will include:

  • Operating tool room equipment
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance on diecasting tools
  • Cleaning all tools at end of run production
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the tool room
  • Maintaining 5S excellence with a safe working environment at all times, free from clutter and potential dangers to self and others
  • Reading CAD drawings, understanding dimensions on drawing to perform assigned task
  • Actively participating in any/all continuous improvement activates
  • Performing any additional tasks within capabilities as directed by the Tool Room

This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship.
