Key Responsibilities:

This is primarily a Software Development role.

With roles including Automation Engineer, Software Developer, Cloud Technologist and DevOps Engineer you will get the chance to use your problem solving skills and interact with our clients in a stimulating, challenging and technically diverse environment.

  • Assess and manage IT change requests
  • Resolve customer and monitoring of raised incidents
  • Manage user access for customers and colleagues
  • Maintain and check server hardware and operating systems
  • Proactively seek service improvements for our customer
  • You will support DXC’s clients’ applications in the public and commercial sectors.

Qualifications required

  • We’re looking for candidates who have 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A*-C including English, Maths and IT.

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programmes offer on-going development tracks.

Level 3 apprenticeship: 13-15 months

  • Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom.
  • 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio.
  • The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
