Duties can include but are not limited to the following;

Receive incoming files from customer:

  • Raise SAP Item numbers for specific customers only
  • Raise a Purchase Order for the Repro supplier
  • Create and supply repro brief to the repro supplier
  • Create a job folder on the internal computer system 

Manage the artwork approval process

  • Forward pdf files from the repro supply to the customer for approval
  • Manage the communication with the customer, amendment process and record all transactions including collation of approvals
  • On final approval order the printing plates from the external supplier

Administration Support

  • Manage an artwork tracker to ensure timely progression of each job on the computer system
  • Attend inter-department meetings to update on progress of tasksSupport customers with any artwork / colour queries
  • Assist with the hosting of customers who wish to attend a press pass
  • Support Repro supplier with queries
  • Custodian of the print specification and printing templates

Qualifications required

English and Maths GCSE advantageous, but not essential.

Future prospects

Albea are looking to develop this role and the successful applicant on an ongoing basis with 3 years minimum training and development.

From April 1st 2017 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
