Key Responsibilities:

Is flexible in working across leveraged IT application support teams on several client accounts

Gathers information from users for analysis of technical problem areas


  • The resolution of incidents and problems presented to the team by end users whether these be live issues, requests for advice & guidance, or routine maintenance requests. These are to be maintained within SLA targets
  • Assists the supports team with gathering requirements from a technical perspective and creating documentation for application systems and audit purposes

Aspires to and is capable of achieving the role of Application Developer through a mixture of formal training and on-the-job learning

We intend to place apprentices into one of the following areas and so they will gain experience in many skills, some of which are listed here: .NET, Java, pl/SQL or other related Web Technologies

Future prospects

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programmes offer on-going development tracks.

Level 3 Infrastructure Technician apprenticeship: 13-15 months

Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
