This is a fantastic opportunity to join a caring growing company and team. The successful candidate will be customer focused and will carry out day to day admin duties. You will be expected to turn your hand to various jobs whilst maintaining a professional attitude at all times. So if you're an organised individual with good communication skills, this is the perfect job for you.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & BASIC DUTIES:

  • Incoming and outgoing calls dealing with customers
  • Transferring calls to the correct person and take accurate messages
  • Use the company be-spoke system
  • Making appointments and inputting data
  • IT duties including accurate emails
  • To photocopy, collate and distribute documents as required
  • Operate fax machine as required
  • Process prescription requests and giving out patient prescriptions to the right recipient
  • Organise and report data
  • Postal duties to include sorting, distributing and franking appropriately and accurately
  • Filing and maintaining internal documents
  • Store and retrieve information
  • Scanning document
  • Providing refreshments in turn
  • Setting up doctors surgery ready for next day
  • Typing duties
  • Preparing medical records
  • Be aware of implications of Practice Policies, especially those relating to confidentiality and data protection
  • Undertake other duties as required

Qualifications required

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
