The role is varied and you will have a broad range of exposure, including working on rotation basis across all of the different IT / Development / Test / Professional Services roles within organisation.

All gained skills would allow you to decide whether you would like to proceed as a Test Analyst / Developer / Customer Support Advisor or Implementation Consultant.

Personal qualities

  • Undertake training and follow mentoring as specified Demonstrate a pro-active, self-motivated and positive attitude
  • You will have responsibility for some of the straightforward elements of the overall projects
  • Knowledge and experience of at least one coding language (.Net, C#, SQL).
  • Knowledge of user interfaces and has an understanding of data flows
  • An understanding of best practices and standards in software development, business analysis and testing
  • To liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support their clients’ during the implementation period

Qualifications required

  • GSCE (or equivalent) in English & Maths at grade C or above
  • A-level (or equivalent) (HNC, BTEC, NVQ), having achieved at least three qualifications of grades A-C
  • Passion for new technology; ideally some exposure to a modern programming language

Training provider

Ada, National College for Digital Skills are the training provider for this apprenticeship. Our campus is based in Tottenham Hale. Our mission is to work in collaboration with the industry to design and deliver a curriculum that empowers students to progress into highly skilled digital roles. Our Software Developer apprenticeship leads to a Foundation Degree in Digital Innovation which is accredited by the Open University. You will be at Ada for 8 weeks in October and November taking part in our Launchpad training. This training not only covers modules for the degree programme but also ensures to prepare you for the workplace. Following the Launchpad training you will return to your employer for 7-8 weeks returning to Ada for one week blocks on a rotation basis.
