Purpose:

Assist the National Utilities co-ordinator with managing, predicting and documenting metered and unmetered supplies, creating accurate national reports for the business.

Support the digital transformation with the implementation and roll out of our new automated meter readings units.

Capabilities:

Unmetered Supplies and Metered Supplies

  • Manage and agree EAC’s (electricity annual cost) with all distribution networks
  • Ensure high attention to detail to raise and manage purchase orders in line with current EAC’s and contracted unit rate
  • Update the Utility data base with new installations, removals and alterations.
  • Help draw out and implement a rollout of AMR units (automated meter readings) to ensure that all metered sites are billed accurately
  • Create full survey reports following on from site visits to ensure the rollout of AMR units runs smoothly

Finance & Environmental:

  • Raise and manage purchase orders using site usage reports
  • Work closely with finance to update, exchange and receipt PO numbers to ensure correct costs are captured in the correct month
  • Build strong relationships with accounts payable to match electrical invoicing to P.O. numbers
  • Provide monthly updates to finance & accounts payable
  • To stay in line with forecast, manage and report on any accruals
  • Support with the analysis of current business usage and present possible consumption reductions
  • Help forecast site electrical costs to Finance and Operations Director

Technical:

  • Build a solid understanding of utilities data base (Internal software)
  • Knowledge of sage would be an advantage
  • Strong admin skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong skills of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Personal qualities

Communication:

  • Have ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • The ability to communicate with individuals of all levels
  • Quick thinking and proactive

Qualifications required

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship.
