At GLL we are looking for a Front of House Apprentice to work towards your Customer Service NVQ Level 2. You will be part of the front of house team in a busy leisure centre providing high quality customer service to our members.

Your job role will include:

• Greet and serve customers with the highest level of customer service
• Deal efficiently with phone and email enquiries
• Train and use various computer software systems
• Advise customers and handle a wide range of enquiries on a variety of products
• Handle money and train on how to take card payments
• Membership Sales including taking potential members on tours around the centre to show them what facilities we offer and offer a price presentation
• Attend outreach events to promote the centre
• Cold calling as part of the membership sales process
• Undertake other duties as directed.

The programme is 12 months in duration and you will work towards a Customer Service NVQ Level 2 and training will be delivered in the form of work based learning. On successfully completing your Apprenticeship we would expect to be able to offer you continued employment and development opportunities.

Desired skills

The ability to deal with customers and their queries’ and concerns with tact and sensitivity as well as the ability to promote, market & sell the service and centre.

• The ability to work as part of a team and deliver high quality service with minimal supervision in potentially pressurised situations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and IT literate.
