This is reflected in the ongoing growth and expansion of the Lockton London office where the Corporate team continues to develop at pace in line with business wins and investment in talent.

In line with this sustained growth, this division is looking to appoint an individual to provide pivotal support across the team. This is an interesting and varied blend of administrative support to the wider office, working in support of the PA to Head of Risk Solutions North, coupled with more specific Insurance-based account administration support to a several Account Managers.

This is an experienced, industrious team which sits in a wider office of approximately 30 Associates operating in a friendly and welcoming work environment.

There is some scope in terms of the type of candidate that this role would be suited to. On one hand, it represents an excellent opportunity for an entry -level candidate to join the business and start their Insurance career. In this case you may have completed ’ A’ Levels recently and this could be an Apprenticeship opportunity whereby there will be full training and support to enable you to work towards a fully funded professional qualification be it Business Administration or a more Insurance focused course of study.

Alternatively, you may be a more experienced Administrator looking for a new role or perhaps returning to work after a break from this type of position. Indeed, there is some flexibility as to whether the position is full or part time, providing you are present in the office no later than 9am on any given working day in order to be able to welcome visitors and coordinate meetings.

A normal day would include

Office Administration:

  • Reception duties- welcoming visitors, coordinating meeting room,  providing refreshments and arranging catering
  • Distribution of post
  • Understanding IT and printing equipment in order to troubleshoot where required
  • Stationary management and ordering
  • Document binding
  • Facilities tasks including coordination of cleaning staff

Insurance Account Administration, (assisting in account support services to Lockton clients):

  • Preparation and issuance of invoices
  • Diary management
  • Maintenance of records
  • Preparation of forms/ documents
  • Verification of information and resolution of routine problems

What you could go on to do

There will be full training and support, which will aid the successful Claims Associate in working towards a fully funded professional qualification either in Business Administration, or in a subject that caters more specifically towards a career in Insurance.

How you will be supported

Full training and support will be provided by our expert training and assessment staff at The Skills Company.
