    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established Healthcare company in the heart of Leeds. In the role of Apprentice Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of warehouse and logistics management from stock control to distribution. This is a busy and time critical role and the company are looking for an organized, calm and reliable team member.

Here are some of the daily duties you will be completing :

  • Checking and preparing orders for delivery
  • Undertaking stock control and inventory checks
  • Maintaining the working environment
  • Arranging collection of stock to be distributed
  • Coordinating goods in deliveries
  • Updating and maintaining electronic inventory system

Ability to work under pleasure would be an advantage, as would IT skills.
