Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Electrical skills would be beneficial, but not compulsory, along with any of the follwoing - Welding, Plumbing or IT (would be ideal).

Qualifications required

  • GCSE Math and English ( or equivalent).
  • Science - Especially Physics.
  • Any Vocational Sciece based - optional.

Future prospects

To move onto the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship to become a fully qualified multi-skilled engineer.

Things to consider

Working at heights is a must as well as being able to work in a noisy environment at times. Able to use power tools and good housekeeping.
