An Apprenticeship with DAS is a great way to learn while you earn. You will receive technical training, an experienced mentor and a recognised qualification at the end. 

The successful candidate will be taught how to do activities primarily by our in house team. As the candidate progresses with their training, they will be expected to complete on their own with support and guidance from in house colleagues as necessary.

The successful candidate will be involved in the following activities:- (Full training will be provided)

  • Visit client’s sites with one of our engineers and repair domestic appliances
  • Record information on the equipment installed
  • Conduct formal examinations on appliances
  • Stock control of items used during the company’s activities
  • General engineering and admin duties

Qualifications required

5 x GCSEs at grades A*-C / 4-9 (or equivalent) including Maths, English and Science.

Future prospects

Ideally the successful candidate, once fully trained and qualified would progress to become a FST (Field Service Technician).

Things to consider

Working hours are flexible due to the mentors working hours. The role involves travelling to clients locations with the mentor and supporting him. A Driving Licence needs to be attained during the Apprenticeship.
