The role will involve assisting the department with all administration support.  You will receive training to eventually be able to:

  • Recovery of outstanding debits in order to maintain debtor days within budget
  • Be the active link between external customers and internal departments to facilitate the resolution of customer disputes
  • Attend monthly credit control meetings to discuss and resolve customer disputes
  • Maintain regular contact with key customers to ensure debit notes are cleared and payments are released within the specified timescales
  • Daily allocation of cash on ERPLN
  • Review and maintain customer accounts to ensure no customers excess their agreed credit limits
  • Set up new accounts on ERPLN and run the relevant reports to assess the customers suitability for credit
  • Provide a weekly forecast of cash receipts to allow cash flow forecasts to be prepared
  • Input monthly rebate credit notes on to ERPLN when they are passed over by the Management Accountant
  • Support the Management Accountant with any other ad hoc tasks as required

Qualifications required

  • GCSE grades C or above or equivalent in both English and Mathematics
  • Ideally hold a qualification in ICT /  Business (although not essential)
  • Business & Administration Level 2 qualification desirable, although not essential

Things to consider

This role will suit someone who is looking to fulfil a role within Finance, although the qualification is a Business & Administration qualification, there may be the opportunity to gain finance qualifications on completion of the apprenticeship.

Training provider

Regular visits from an Assessor from TDR Training to carry out observations within the workplace.  You will work towards achieving your NVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration, including combined Techinical Certificate.  Functional Skills also required if not already held.
