    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Duties include:

  • Answer the phone, forward calls to relevant staff or take detailed messages
  • Greeting Visitors
  • Dealing with general emails, mailbox monitoring
  • General typing, photocopying, laminating, binding
  • General filing of both electronic and paper documents
  • Accurate data entry and keeping of records
  • Post opening and distribution of incoming post, collecting and post outgoing post
  • Providing refreshments to staff and visitors
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Training provider

In house training to be provided on bespoke company systems

Full training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis and when required. You will be working towards a NVQ L2 Business & Administration qualification. An assessor will be allocated to you to progress/help you through you course. Continual assessment for NVQ’s coupled with assignments/or exams depending on course of study. Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week.
