    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

The Suzuki Advanced Apprenticeship Programme is the industry leading training scheme that firstly helps you find a real job with a Suzuki Dealer in your area, and secondly provides you with all the training you will need to become a fully qualified Parts Consultant/Service Advisor.

An opportunity to become part of the Apprenticeship programme as a Parts Consultant. Supported throughout by an employer, this vacancy is for a 2 year apprenticeship that will result in the successful candidate gaining an Advanced Apprenticeship in Vehicle Parts.

As a Parts Apprentice you would be involved in a variety of tasks ranging from:

  • Dealing with Technicians, other companies and the general public
  • Answering the telephone
  • Taking orders
  • Ordering parts
  • Checking parts
  • Putting stock orders away

  • No specific skills required, however an interest in motor vehicles/parts would be beneficial

  • Keen and enthusiastic
  • Able to work as part of a team

Qualifications required

GCSEs (or equivalent) grades A-C in:

  • Maths
  • English
  • Science

Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to 18 year olds is a priority and fully-funded by Government.
