    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

You will be studying at South and City College Birmingham where you will learn the skills needed to become a successful maintenance engineer, and will complete a Level 2 diploma in refrigeration and air conditioning.

The team is supportive and friendly, and are looking for an apprentice who is keen to learn, eager to get stuck in with all sorts of duties and ultimately someone who can develop into a fully fledged engineer!

You will be studying at South and City College Birmingham where you will learn the skills needed to become a successful service and maintenance engineer, and will complete a level 2 diploma in refrigeration and air conditioning.

Working closely with experienced engineers to provide service and planned maintenance to air conditioning and refrigeration units in commercial buildings such as schools, hospitals and offices, local growing and transport businesses within the Vale of Evesham area.

Helping lift and carry plant and equipment, working closely with service team based in the office to provide an excellent level of customer service whilst delivering quality work in clients' places of work.


Requirements and prospects

  • Some knowledge of construction trades advantageous, particularly plumbing or electrical students.
