Tasks will include everything from start to finish for the product.

  • You will be fully trained in Photoshop and Illustrator, but the company are looking to train you in their bespoke software too
  • Artwork preparation,  vinyl graphic cutting and laying, wide format printing, banner printing , lamination and application, car graphics and wrapping
  • UV printing to rigid substrates and all types of sign work, manufacture and installation
  • You need to be punctual

  • Confidentiality is key to this role, you will be working on very sensitive sites
  • You will need a clean enhanced DBS (no criminal records)

Qualifications required

Minimum A-C GCSE’s in Maths and English and must also have a level 3 qualification in a design based framework.

Future prospects

There will be a 3 month probationary period enabling an increase if you work hard. Permanent post for the right candidate.

About the employer

A fantastic opportunity for the right person to work for this company. R & D Signs have been established for over 40 years and most employees have started and worked there most of their lives. They are looking for a hard worker to fit in with their team. If you have some Photoshop or Illustrator experience then that would be a bonus, but you will be trained both on site for bespoke software and at college to aid in your qualification at a level 3. Signs are designed and created nationally for various businesses. Everything is carried out from scratch, design, printing and packaging, installing and fixing. Be prepared to work hard and learn everything within the role. Artwork preparation, vinyl graphic cutting and laying, wide format printing . banner printing , lamination and application, car graphics and wrapping. UV printing to rigid substrates and all types of sign work, manufacture and installation. Confidentiality is key to this role; you will be working in some sensitive and signing to agree it will be kept confidential. You will be put through an enhanced DBS (to disclose and criminal record).
