The Management Accounts team at Haymarket Media Group are looking for an Accounts Apprentice to support the Exhibitions Team in their ongoing ambition to provide more useful, more accurate and faster management financial information to the business teams.

This role will suit someone looking for their first opportunity in the Finance or Management Accounting sector.

We will provide first class training and support. All we ask is for the candidate to be driven to succeed, willing to learn and have a curious mind.

What you will learn:

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Assisting in the completion of budgets and business plans.
  • Liaising with other finance departments.
  • Reconciliation of product costs against accruals.
  •  Liaising with all business departments to validate forecasted figures.
  • Posting of journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliation of the corresponding balance sheet codes.
  • Weekly trading reports (Ticket and Sales Report preparation).
  • Assisting with Variance analysis.
  • Maintenance of the Chart of Accounts to include Activities and Acct Levels etc.
  • Assisting with Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Assisting with onsite duties at Live Events.

Qualifications required

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) A*-C (9-4) to include English and Maths.
