    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

We have a track record of supporting apprentices we are now looking to take on additional apprentices to join our team.

As the UK's largest suppliers of temporary labour to the hospitality, catering and event management sector. Our service covers the recruitment, training, onsite management and payroll function for clients, allowing them to concentrate on the delivery of a great event or sporting experience.

As a member of the apprenticeship team, you will be fully trained to be able to carry out a range of administrative and IT related tasks including:

  • Answering the telephone
  • Interviewing potential candidates
  • Placing them into work positions
  • Dealing with clients
  • Working with clients at events in the UK (with a colleague)
  • Dealing with emails
  • Other routine office administration tasks

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Confident communicator via phone, dealing with prestigious customer enquiries
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Accuracy
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word would be useful, but support can be given
  • Knowledge of the Internet and search tools, for researching information

Personal qualities

  • Good timekeeping essential
  • An interest in sports and events management

Qualifications required

GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths grades A*- D desirable.

We are more interested in someone's personal skills, confidence, verbal communications and willingness to learn and develop with the company.

Future prospects

For the right candidate we are looking to retain them and offer ongoing employment, potentially into a Recruitment Consultant role.

Things to consider

The office is located on the first floor without lift access. Working weekends is normal in this industry. However you will have 2 other days off in the week. Desirable Full UK Driving Licence (you will have access to one of our cars, so you don't need to have your own vehicle).
