  • Reception duties include answering calls, booking appointments,
  • Face to face and telephone comunication with clients 
  • Meeting and greeting clients and legal representatives 
  • Assisting other internal legal departments with their customer service requests
  • Typing up digital dictations; items marked '#'.
  • Sorting by fee earner.
  • Match post to file — where necessary adding client reference number.
  • Obtain diary cards from secretaries and match with files and put out for review by fee earners.
  • As necessary: photocopying, making tea and coffee for visitors and staff, hand deliveries, any other housekeeping duties.
  • Dead filing / archiving.
  • End of day: putting letters in envelopes with enclosures.
