The role will involve learning and working on CNC mill and lathes. The company uses Matsuuras, Hurco, Hass, Citizen and Mazak as well as having manual turning lathes. You will be willing to learn basic part programming techniques and to work from engineering drawings as well as set up processes, proving out and the use of CMM to check components.

Prior Scientific is a well established local company. If the successful candidate completes their apprenticeship a permanent position may be made available to them.

Things to consider

The role is shift work, early shift – 06:30 – 14:30, Late Shift 14:00 – 22:00 You'll spend most of your time in a factory or workshop, operating and monitoring the machines.
