Our apprentices will receive full training, internally and externally and when ready will join our award-winning Help Desk support team delivering the high standard of support for our customers.

Once trained the role will involve:

  • Supporting a dedicated helpdesk team to resolve customer IT issues by providing solutions and referring and organising additional support when appropriate. 
  • Working closely with other departments across Retail Assist to ensure services are delivered that exceed customer’s expectations.
  • Working collaboratively with us as one team to deliver a consistent 24/7 service 365 days per year.
  • Ensure any queries, concerns or escalations are promptly picked up and responded to or escalated appropriately within the Helpdesk.
  • Dealing with incoming calls is the main aspect of this role and once confident making outbound calls (not selling). 
  • Sending emails.
  • Rotating weekly to learn the different aspects of the business.
  • Learning how to analysis and diagnose issues and identify the cause, to enable to correct action to resolve.
  • Working with other companies to provide a seamless support service back to our customers. 

As well as formal apprenticeship training, the apprentice will receive comprehensive in-house training.

  • Strong verbal and written and communication skills.
  • Proficient in IT.
  • A second language is desirable but not essential.

  • Can remain calm under pressure.
  • Good questioning skills.
  • Problem solver.
  • Self-starter.
  • Self-driven.
  • Can use initiative.

Qualifications required

  • Retail or hospitality experience desirable but not essential.
