The position will involve the following: (but not limited too):

  • Ensuring all duties/transactions are carried out effectively and efficiently in order that targets are achieved
  • Carrying out accompanied viewings
  • Acting in compliance with the 1979 Estate Agents Act and more recent amendments including the Property Misdescriptions Act
  • Running an effective mailing list, sending out new details on a regular basis
  • Checking sales particulars have been safely received
  • Booking appointments
  • Obtaining applicant feedback
  • Updating vendors
  • Telephone work
  • Negotiating sales including mortgage leads, confirming to all parties concerned
  • Distributing marketing materials as and when directed
  • Administration

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Must have own car and driving licence. Please do not apply if you don’t have both - these will be required to attend appointments at customers properties for viewings
  • Need to live in close proximity to the office as local knowledge is preferred
  • You must have a genuine desire to work in the industry

There are additional commission opportunities within this role. Previous Apprentices have earned over £15,000 in their first year.

Qualifications required

  • Maths and English grades A - C or equivalent would be desirable but not essential

Future prospects: There is the opportunity to progress into a Senior Negotiator position.
