As an apprentice you will be provided with the core skills to build an exciting career. The employer work with the latest and greatest technologies and support global companies with their cloud and UCC solutions. Once you have mastered the basic technologies there will be future opportunities to be involved in projects working with the latest audio visual meeting room technologies to support global UCC deployments.

Day to day the role as an Apprentice Unified Communications Analyst will involve providing help and support to the company’s Directors.

  • Gaining a full understanding of UCC technologies and visual collaboration tools
  • To test and configure products before further design, development and implementation.
  • You will be using the Microsoft Office family of products including Skype for Business and will also gain an understanding of Microsoft server products and cloud technologies such as Office 365.
  • Skype for Business is their core business and you will be expected to become an expert user of this technology.

  • You’ll need to be a problem solver, someone who is happy to ask for help but equally someone who can think and solve problems for themselves.
  • It would be beneficial if you have an interest in audio visual technologies and familiar with connectivity (in the home environment is fine)
  • You’ll have excellent inter personal skills as you will deal face to face with clients and should be able to inspire confidence
  • Although not essential, a driving Licence and own car would be helpful

Qualifications required

You don’t need loads of professional experience in IT. However, you’ll need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) of grades A*-C (or new grading of 4-9) including Maths, English and IT / Science. Ideally, you will also possess an A-levels, BTEC, Level 3 Diploma or equivalent.

By working hard and demonstrating your ability, drive and commitment throughout your 16 month apprenticeship scheme, upon completion you will be offered a permanent contract ensuring you have further opportunities to continue growing within this exciting organisation.
